Internship

Note: Welcome applicants who wish to join us in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).

Duration: 3 to 6 months

Primary Duties (including but not limited to):

Marketing Support:

• Research legal, tax, and finance topics in ASEAN;
• Write articles about foreign direct investment (FDI) in ASEAN for Asia Briefing and its regional subsidiaries; and
• Create various marketing materials as needed.

International Business Advisory (IBA) team assistance:

• Support business development and account management efforts;
• Help coordinate potential client meetings and document discussions;
• Develop PowerPoint presentations, proposals, and engagement contracts for potential clients;
• Carry out client development-focused research projects;
• Attend client development events as a representative of Dezan Shira & Associates;
• Design and execute individual research projects, producing well-written reports;
• Research and engage with local business organizations for collaboration and partnership opportunities;
• Customer Relationship Management; and
• Perform administrative tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Excellent English writing and speaking abilities;
• Proficiency in an additional European or Asian language is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills and a desire to meet and interact with business professionals o Familiarity with tax, accounting, law, and foreign investment;
• Business development and sales experience;
• Attention to detail, a sense of responsibility, and a commitment to teamwork o Interest in the Asian business and investment climate;
• A proactive worker with demonstrated initiative;
• Graduation from or current enrollment in a university degree program, preferably in a business-related major, accounting, or law (desirable but not required).
