We are a German-based growing medium-sized business that acts globally with a nearly 100 % remote work culture. We already have employees in more than 13 different nations over 4 continents. Our headquarters is located in the historical city of Weimar, Germany. With continuous coordination with legal authorities from around the world (e.g. customs authorities, and export control authorities). We are the leading provider of customs/global trade data, helping companies from a diverse range of industries. We are seeking an experienced and skilled HR Manager to join our team. You will play a critical role in shaping and implementing HR policies and practices that align with our organizational goals and support a positive work culture.Tasks

  • Develop and implement performance management systems and processes to effectively measure and improve employee performance.
  • Prepare and review employment contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with EOR (Employer of Record) partners, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to agreed-upon service levels.
  • Utilize company-owned HR software to streamline and automate HR processes, such as support for payroll services, leave management, and employee data management.
  • Foster positive employee relations by addressing and resolving employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
  • Initiate employee engagement activities to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including managing recruiters, coordinating with hiring managers, and ensuring job descriptions accurately reflect job requirements.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop comprehensive job descriptions that clearly outline roles and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate and participate in the interview and selection process, ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated with HR best practices and legal requirements to ensure compliance and proactively address potential issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including employee performance, career development, and disciplinary actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Candidates working for this position should possess at least 5 years of work experience as HR Manager like in startups, where a structure had to be established from scratch
  • Proven experience in performance management, contracts preparation, managing EOR partners, company wide implementation of an internal HR software.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of global employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and analytically.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team of HR professionals is preferred.
  • Relevant HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) are a plus.
